Soaring beamed ceilings, a vast living area flooded with that special Provençal light, big kitchen and three good-sized bedrooms make this a truly spectacular, elegant villa decorated with style. Neutral colours, clean lines, drifts of fabrics, natural timber and traditional wrought iron fittings create a tranquil ambience ideal for a relaxing vacation rental.

The location is perfect for visiting the highlights of Provence, with most of the ‘must sees’ between 10 and 30 minutes’ drive in all directions, ie ‘Peter Mayle country’ including Ménerbes, Roussillon, Gordes, charming St Rémy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence and l’Isle sur Sorgue.  Mediterranean beaches (Fos-sur-Mer and Carry-le-Rouet) are a 50 minute drive, lively Marseille with an international airport is one hour.  Delightful Provencal street markets with fresh produce, enticing items made of traditional Provencal fabrics, plus special antique markets, abound in the area.

The villa is all on ground level, with glass doors opening to large terraces on two sides from the living room. With its high, beamed ceiling the bright, airy living room, 80 sq m, has a sitting area, dining area (photo above left) and - a surprise for the children (big and small!) in this chic setting – table football and a pinball machine! For thirsty players, there’s a bar made of antique pine with a zinc-type top.

The big, fully equipped kitchen has light timber units, stainless steel oven with induction hob and breakfast table and chairs. There’s a large fridge freezer which dispenses iced water, dishwasher, microwave etc.

A separate TV room has a large screen Satellite TV, Playstation (video player, CD, DVD player plus games). The TV receives UK and European channels. Phone for incoming calls.

All three bedrooms have fans, bedside tables with iron-based lamps, antique pine style furniture, stylish wrought iron curtain fixtures with soft, dreamy curtains. Two bedrooms have double beds, the third a double bed which converts to two singles.

The luxurious, ultra modern bathroom has two washbasins and a large shower. There is a separate WC with hand washbasin.

The pool, with a wide surround for sunbathing, is 10 x 5m, 1.10-1.80 m in depth and is entered by four steps. It is fenced and alarmed for safety. The grounds are planted with lavender and varied fruit trees.

THE VILLAGE:

The village of Vignères, 2 kms away, has a boulangerie, 2 bars and a ‘tabac’.  Just 4 kms is the typical Provencal town of Cavaillon, with supermarkets, shops, restaurants and a weekly street market.

The house was absolutely lovely, equipped with everything you could possibly need …. and the outside terrace under the shade was particularly appreciated for lunch out of the sun.  We would have no hesitation in recommending it.   

Villa Souleiado is absolutely fantastic!  The house was even bigger than we imagined  - spacey and decorated with good style. We spent the two 

amazing weeks by the villa, but also in the whole Luberon area.  Whenever we somehow managed to leave the villa and pool, we visited 

beautiful towns like Arles, Avignon, Apt, Bonnieux, Menerbes and also the coast area at Camargue.  Many thanks to you for all your help to 

make our stay successful.

We had a fantastic time staying in your lovely villa.  The children loved the pool and games and we all enjoyed the sun.  Look forward to 

visiting this area again.

What a lovely villa!  The pool is excellent and it has been very good for our grown up children.  We have all found it very relaxing here.
