The villa is situated in a small square in a quiet location just 5 minutes’ walk from the medium sized village of Nezignan l’Eveque and 2 kms from the historic market town of Pézenas.  Surrounded by a wall with shrubs and trees, including palm trees which give it its name, the villa and pool are not overlooked; surrounding houses are all substantial on large blocks of land, with well-established gardens.

The sizeable dining area is separated from the spacious kitchen by a wide breakfast bar.  Well equipped, the kitchen is decorated mainly in terracotta tones and has a cooktop with gas and electric burners, oven, dishwasher, microwave; a window looks over the garden at the back.  The fridge/freezer and washing machine are located in the separate utilities room.

From the driveway, which has ample parking space, a gate leads onto a terrace and to the very attractive, large, private pool area in a protected garden.  The freeform pool is entered by four steps and ranges in depth from 1.10m to 1.60m and its wide paved surround provides plenty of space for sunbathing.  A cabana houses a summer kitchen with gas hotplates, fridge and sink, and a bar comes in handy for cool summer drinks.  You have the choice of shade or sun whilst dining round the pool by the cabana and outdoor dining furniture, BBQ and sunbeds are provided.  There is also a WC with hand washbasin and a solar shower. 

Comfortably furnished with armchairs and sofa, the large sitting has TV, CD/radio.  Large glass sliding doors open to a 40 sq m terrace, which leads down to the pool area.

Two sunny bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with twin beds, a spacious shower room with two washbasins and a large shower recess plus bidet and separate WC, all open off a small corridor to one side of the sitting room.  To the other side, a further double-bedded room, single bedded room, shower room with WC and hand washbasin open from another corridor.

There’s a garden with lawn and fruit trees at the back of the house, plus a ‘boules’ pitch at one side. 

A Cot for a baby can be supplied.

THE VILLAGE:

Nezignan l'Eveque has a range of shops including a baker, bar, hotel/restaurant, butcher, newsagent, grocer, post office, tourist office, hairdresser and medical centre.  The main street is lined with palm trees, which also flourish in gardens throughout the village. 

Miles of sandy Mediterranean beaches for sunbathing, fishing and water sports are only 15 minutes’ drive and the lively resort of Cap D’Agde is 15km away.  For boating, walking or cycling, the Canal du Midi is close by and there is an excellent golf course at Béziers - Golf Saint Thomas.  The historic town of Pézenas, which has a wide choice of restaurants, boutiques, antique shops and all services plus a large street market on Saturdays, is only 2 kms.
