Situated in a huge garden of two acres with lawns and trees near the river Hérault, Mas de la Plaine enjoys a privileged, tranquil position in a small hamlet. The garden meanders around the house; it has established trees and hedges, plus apple, cherry fig and olive trees. There’s ample space for children to play and plenty of quiet areas if you wish to retreat with a book.

The villa is on one level and has three bedrooms – two doubles, both with ceiling fans and one with bunk beds. One double bedded room has an ensuite bathroom (bath with overhead shower, WC, hand washbasin), vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and french doors opening to the front terrace of the house. There is a second shower room which also has a WC and hand washbasin.

Comfortably furnished with sofas, coffee table, etc the spacious sitting room has a raked ceiling with exposed beams; a door leads out to the big terrace overlooking the pool. For your entertainment there’s a large screen TV with Satellite for UK free to air channels, a CD & DVD player and video. Board games, books, videos and some DVDs are provided. For your comfort, as well as ceiling fans in two bedrooms, there are four further freestanding fans. Wi Fi connection NB: WiFi is supplied under the proviso that support may not be available in the event of problems.

The kitchen window looks out to the pool and a glass door opens to the terrace. The kitchen has plenty of bench and storage space and is very well equipped including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wall oven, 4 ring gas hob, toaster, electric jug, etc.

There’s a separate dining room with glass doors opening to the terrace, a table which can seat up to eight people and sofa which converts to a double bed.

Off the dining room is the utilities room with washing machine, iron and ironing board, etc.

For those essential al fresco meals, the 140 sq m terrace with outdoor dining furniture and gas BBQ runs almost the length of the villa and is partly covered to provide shade in hot weather. A wire fence with locked gate separates the terrace from the pool surround and there is a pool alarm for additional safety.

The pool area is totally private and delightfully landscaped with palm trees and shrubs, and has lights for night-time swims. The wide paved surround has sun beds and plenty of room for sunbathing. The pool is 7m x 7m, 1.6m deep with a gradual entry via steps and the small children’s pool is 1m in depth. Pool toys for children provided.
