‘Les Martinets’ is a recently built villa in a quiet position on the edge of the village.  Only five minutes’ walk are a mini market, boulangerie, Tabac, pharmacie, wine co-operative and a bar which provides simple meals upon reservation.  The village school is close by. The closest restaurant, with outdoor dining, is just 3 minutes’ drive along a small country road.

In an ideal situation for a perfect self-catering holiday, the villa is set in large, fully enclosed grounds of 1250 sq m planted with trees and a lawn.  The pool is entirely private and not overlooked.

Sandy beaches at the pretty little port of Meze, which has great seafood restaurants, are a 25-minute drive. Lake Salagou (swimming, fishing and watersports), 10 minutes, River Hérault (canoe hire) 15 minutes.  Restaurants, supermarkets, street markets, shops, etc can be found in the lively market town of Clermont l’Herault, a 10 minute drive away.  

The villa is light and bright, south facing with views over the vineyards to the hills beyond.  You’ll enjoy sun all day on the 10 x 4 pool, 1m-1.70m in depth with entry via three steps to the shallow end and fenced for safety.  The large terrace of 40 sq m leading off the sitting room and dining room also has full sun, with the ‘terrace d’été’ at the back of the house ideal for some shade if you need it during the hottest hours of the day.  Both terraces have dining settings and the big paved pool surround has plenty of room for sunbathing; sun lounges and parasols are provided plus a Weber BBQ.

Accommodation consists of a large sitting room furnished in light, soothing tones and comfortably furnished with sofas, etc.  Two sets of French doors open to the huge terrace.  The separate dining room also has French doors opening to the terrace, with a door through to the well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, gas hob, electric oven, electric jug, toaster, etc.  The large fridge/freezer and washing machine are situated in the adjacent garage.  Also on the ground floor are a shower room with shower, WC, hand washbasin and a further separate WC with hand washbasin.

A flight of stairs leads up to a big central landing, with the four bedrooms, a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, WC, hand washbasin and separate WC with hand washbasin opening off it.

The bedrooms - 2 doubles, 2 twins - have wardrobes/hanging space, chest of drawers/shelving units and each one has a fan.

Satellite TV receives BBC1 & 2, ITV 1 and UK radio channels.  Telephone for incoming calls.

The pool is fully maintained for you during your stay so all you have to do is relax and enjoy!
