is a delightfully restored 300 year old house, spacious, full of character, comfortably
furnished and exceptionally well equipped, located in a tranquil
part of the village. A romantic retreat for a couple!
On the ground floor is the living area of 55 sq m, with beautiful exposed stones and big, old beams. A beamed doorway and servery hatch open to the well equipped kitchen.
The sitting area features comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV with satellite and free to air UK channels, DVD player and CD/cassette/radio. Some CDs are provided and a library of books. If you’d like to keep up your piano practise, there’s a Yamaha electric piano with a superb touch that makes it a joy to play.
The dining area opens to the private, flower filled courtyard of 25 sq m, (10 m long - the length of the house) protected by a lovely old stone wall which gives complete privacy. It's an extremely pleasant spot to relax, day or night, in absolute peace and quiet. There’s a dining setting and Weber gas BBQ, also a retractable awning so that you can have as much sun or shade as you wish.
The large kitchen, with a door opening to the courtyard, is very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, full siz fridge and freezer, oven, hob, electric kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, etc and there’s plenty of bench space. The pantry houses the washing machine and storage shelves.
Also on the ground floor is a shower room with shower, WC and hand washbasin.
A flight of stairs leads up to a small landing, off which is the bureau (which can be used as a dressing room) and the large bedroom of 19 sq m with cathedral ceiling 3.5m high, beautiful old exposed beams and a ceiling fan.
There’s a bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower, WC and hand washbasin also on this level. The bureau and the bedroom look out over a large garden with established trees (not part of our property and separated by a stone built wall).

THE VILLAGE:
The village of Jonquières has several highly renowned wineries. Shops and restaurants in villages 2 kms. Supermarkets, restaurants, shops etc in the market towns of Gignac (5 kms) and Clermont l'Hérault and (8 kms), which both have excellent weekly street markets. Good swimming at Mediterranean beaches (35 minutes) and Lac Salagou (15 minutes). Swimming and canoe hire River Hérault (10 minutes).
