The
Chateau is in a beautiful situation within its own grounds and surrounded by its
vineyards. There are superb views over the vines to the mountains
beyond from all
rooms. Access is via an independent
entrance to the first floor, where the spacious guests’ lounge, comfortably and
invitingly furnished, breakfast room and games room (with Cards, Scrabble,
Bridge table etc) are situated. All are furnished with splendid antique
furniture befitting the surroundings.
On the ground floor, a summer room with vaulted ceiling houses a billiard table, tables and chairs. You are free to wander around the grounds with centuries old trees and a little ‘bambouseraie’ – an ancient bamboo plantation.
An Honour System operates, allowing guests to choose a bottle of the Chateau’s own excellent wine, (also available to purchase from the Chateau’s wine shop to take home) and enjoy either in the vast grounds, where tables and chairs are grouped in various locations, or indoors. Coffee and tea making facilities are also available.
The owners live on the ground floor in a separate wing of the chateau. The guest bedrooms are situated on the second floor and each has its own character. They are all very comfortably furnished and have some antique furniture and period decoration.
The Tower Room is the smallest but so full of character, snugly following the contour of the tower in which it is situated, with a cupola ceiling of exposed stones and a double bed of 1m.40.
The Yellow Room is more Provençal in style, decorated in warm yellow with two single bed
The Blue Room, decorated in soothing blue tones, double bed of 1.m60
The Pink Room, the largest room with its cosy corner, overblown pink rose decoration, double bed 1m60
All rooms have ensuite shower rooms with WC and hand washbasin; the Pink Room has a bath with overhead shower, WC and hand washbasin.
PLEASE NOTE:
The village church is adjacent to the chateau. Its bell rings on the hour and half hour.
No meals apart from breakfast are served but there are restaurants nearby.

THE VILLAGE:
The Chateau is situated in a picturesque little village surrounded by grape vines and known for its quality wine. There are restaurants in neighbouring villages just 2 kms in any direction, including one of the best in the area which has been awarded two Michelin knives and forks. A large choice of restaurants, shops, banks etc can be found in the lively market towns of Clermont l’Herault or Gignac (10 minutes): and both have excellent weekly street markets. Good swimming spots can be found at Mediterranean beaches, 30 minutes, Lake Salagou (also fishing and watersports), 10 minutes, River Hérault (canoe hire) 10 minutes.
